Released in January 2019, the Sustainable Venues Survey sought to identify How important is sustainability to F&B venues today? What can still be done to achieve more sustainable F&B practices?
Over 120 respondents from leading F&B venues across APAC took the survey. The respondents hail from hotels, resorts, and independent F&B venues.
Sustainability is clearly on everyone's mind. We can try to avoid it or avert any change on our ends, F&B professionals are confronted with a real conundrum when it comes to reducing, reusing and recycling. As this survey has taught us, the plastic straw is the flag-bearer for sustainability in our industry. Banning the straw is likely the birthplace of sustainable F&B initiatives.
